Italy-based property marketplace Immobiliare.it has appointed Silvio Pagliani as its new CEO. The move comes during a strong evolution of the company’s services that are increasingly focused on technology and transactions.
Pagliani, an engineer born in 1972 with a degree from the Milan Polytechnic, is also co-founder of Immobiliare.it and has played a fundamental role in its development since the company’s birth in 2005. Pagliani was co-founder of other digital companies as well, among them Facile.it, LuxuryEstate.com, CaseVacanza.it, Mutuiamo.it, Dottori.it, HousingAnywhere.com, ProntoPro, Uala and last but not least Treatwell.
“My commitment to Immobiliare.it is leveraging technological innovation and improving the user experience throughout the process of buying, renting and selling the house, as well as offering effective and quality services to professionals and companies operating in our market ” commented Pagliani.
Former CEO Carlo Giordano, who has been covering the role of the company from 2006 to today, will still be an executive member of the Board of Directors and continue in the development of the relationship with the strategic partners of the company.
“I am very proud of what we have built over the years and I thank them for the trust they have placed in me since the beginning. I am equally happy with the appointment of Silvio as CEO and I am sure he will be able to guide the company in the best possible way toward the evolution that awaits us in the coming years” commented outgoing CEO Giordano.
The group today covers the needs of over 26,000 real estate agencies in Italy, has more than 600 employees, and 800 credit brokers and is forecast to close 2022 with a turnover of 140 million euros. In addition to Immobiliare.it, the group counts a network of leading real estate marketplaces in several countries in Europe including Spitogatos in Greece, Nepremicnine.net in Slovenia, Crozilla in Croatia, Immotop in Luxembourg, Indomio in Spain and in other few countries of the Balkans.
“Immobiliare.it is already the point of reference in Italy both for those looking for properties and for professionals in the sector and our goal is to further extend our leadership in the years to come. Agencies and real estate professionals will be at the centre of the evolution we are carrying out, in a path that will lead us to work more and more in partnership with them to offer new generation services to those who buy, rent and sell homes” concluded Pagliani.
